Megan Chapman T/A The Savvy VA) – Retainer Policy
This Retainer Policy sets out the terms for any retainer agreement with The Savvy VA. By engaging services on a retainer basis, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. What a Retainer Covers
A retainer is a prepaid block of hours or services held for your use during the agreed period. It ensures priority access to my services and allows for planned availability and consistent support.
Services included under the retainer will be outlined in your contract or project schedule. Any services outside the agreed scope may be billed separately.
2. Billing and Payment
-
Retainers are billed monthly in advance, unless otherwise agreed.
-
Payment must be received before work begins.
-
Late or missed payments are considered a breach of the agreement and may result in suspension of services until payment is received.
3. Use of Retainer Hours
-
Hours are intended to be used within the month they are paid for. Unused hours cannot be carried over and will be forfeited.
-
While hours are generally not reported, clients may request a copy of hours used.
4. Adjustments to Retainer
-
Any request to increase or decrease your retainer must be agreed in writing at least 30 days before the change is due to take effect.
-
Changes will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle unless otherwise agreed.
5. Cancellation and Termination
-
Retainers operate on a minimum notice period of 30 days unless otherwise stated in your contract.
-
If you cancel the retainer, a final invoice will be issued for any hours used beyond the paid retainer.
-
Missed or late payments may result in suspension of services.
6. General
-
All retainer terms are part of your agreement and subject to the main service contract.
-
Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of any updates to this policy.
-
Any disputes regarding hours, billing, or services will be resolved in accordance with the contract and applicable law.
