5 Day Free Challenges. We’ve all seen them. There’s a big chance you have even participated in a few yourself.

These challenges are run by all kinds of businesses with a range of different purposes.

  • Coaches promoting their latest programme
  • Nutritionists expanding their network
  • Mentors growing their membership communities
  • Tutors sharing their expertise

No matter what kind of business you’re running, there’s likely an opportunity to create your own online challenge.

So why are they so popular?

I know it may sound counterintuitive, but free challenges are actually a great way of attracting paying clients.

Not only are they a fantastic tool for creating new relationships and growing your email list but you can even create a profit by promoting a new service or product.

Over the challenge you have the perfect opportunity to create loyalty and lasting relationships with your audience – as long as you are providing them with the right value!

There’s never a perfect time to do anything, but if you’re thinking of running a free challenge, aligning it with the launch of a new service or product is more likely to get you those sales.

Even if it’s an existing service you’re trying to push, the promotion and awareness these challenges bring is huge.

Either way, it’s a win, win. Even if some participants don’t buy at the end, the loyalty you have built is still worth it.

You never know what the future holds after all!

Where do you start?

First you need to decide on the whole idea behind your challenge. Ask yourself:

• What outcome are you helping your participants achieve?
• What problem does your challenge solve?
• How are you helping them achieve this?

Ensure your challenge solves a problem your ideal client has, so that you are attracting the right people – and make sure the name of your challenge reflects this!

It’s important to be specific and tie the title of your challenge to the outcome you’re helping your audience achieve – otherwise, how else will they be persuaded to take part?

Look at this, for example: ‘5 Day Customer Service Challenge’.

It’s unclear, dull, and doesn’t exactly make you want to rush to sign up does it?

Now consider: ‘Create an effective customer service strategy in 5 Days’ or ‘Discover how to build customer relationships that last…in 5 days!’

A lot better, right? It’s important to be enticing and make sure your audience not only understands – but is attracted to – whatever it is you are promising.

Running your own 5 Day Challenge

When it comes to running your challenge, it’s vital to make sure you’re providing your audience with enough value that they not only want to stick around for the rest of the challenge but for any future offerings you may have.

When it comes to lasting and loyal relationships with your customers, it always comes back to value.

• What are you providing?

• What reason are you giving them to want to stay subscribed to you and your business?

• Why should they buy the service you’re offering at the end?

• How can YOU help THEM?

Once you have that nailed down, you’ll find the key to a successful – and even profitable – Free 5 Challenge!
